Although I don’t see why you couldn’t add an eCommerce store to a WordPress blog with WooCommerce.

Cons:

When I first started my blog, I was on the fence between making it a blog or website.
I didn’t want to start out with a long term project that would take me months to get off the ground only to find out it wasn’t working.
