How do beginner blogs make money?
Beginner blogs normally make money by starting out with an affiliate program like amazon.com’s affiliate program.
Although I do have my issues with Amazon’s affiliate program like many affiliate marketers and bloggers, there’s no question that Amazon is the biggest elephant or player in the room.
They simply dominate the affiliate marketing space. How? For affiliate marketers, Amazon makes it very easy to connect your readers with hundreds of thousands of products available on Amazon.com.
Not only that, but you combine Amazon’s Prime program along with their free and fast shipping and you’ve got a behemoth that cannot be ignored in the affiliate marketing space.
Most beginner bloggers can easily set up an affiliate account with Amazon.com.
Amazon.com will then give and show you how to inject the code for any particular product you would like to include in your content that may be of interest to your readers.
Amazon makes affiliate marketing probably the easiest way for a beginner to monetize their new blogs with.
Between Amazon’s dashboard, their very efficient coding as well as the ease of putting their affiliate code into your content, puts them far ahead of its competition.
How do bloggers get paid?
The method of payment that most bloggers get and how they get paid is usually either with PayPal, a bank transfer or direct deposit into their bank account, through Payoneer or even with Bitcoin.
However, the two most popular ways that bloggers get paid are of course through a bank transfer into their bank account and/or through PayPal.
How long until a blog makes money?
This depends on how soon a blog gets traffic. You see, without traffic a blog cannot make money.
So the sooner you get traffic, the sooner you can make money.
Of course, if you start out with affiliate marketing and you can pick the most appropriate and targeted products to include into your content that your readers consume, the higher the chances are that your blog will make money sooner rather than later.
Why do bloggers fail?
Most bloggers fail because they simply give up too early. That, and of course, they don’t post enough content and frequently enough for their blogs to gain momentum and a readership.
Google loves content and a lot of it. The more frequent you post, the faster you can get traffic.
But many bloggers think that putting up 10, 20 or even 30 posts is enough and they can call it a day.
Nowadays, that’s barely the beginning. You may need hundreds of posts before you can even begin to see the fruits of your labor.
However, once you do, many times it becomes an avalanche. The whole key for a new blogger not failing is not quitting.
How do I start a WordPress blog with no money?
The best way to start a WordPress blog with no money would be to sign up for a WordPress.com free blog plan.
Although you will be limited in what you can do with a free WordPress blog, you can still use it to earn money.
You may not be able to put any display advertising from a third-party vendor, but you can put affiliate products or even your own products or services on your free WordPress blog and earn money from them.
You can even write and charge for a sponsored post.
Anyway, you might not get rich from a free WordPress blog on WordPress.com, but it’s a good way to get your feet wet into the WordPress ecosystem and learn about some of the ways you can monetize a WordPress blog.
This way when you are ready to invest a little more money and possibly self-host your own WordPress blog, you will have a good idea of what direction to take it in and how to monetize it further.
Why do bloggers use WordPress?
WordPress was originally created for bloggers in a sense. The creators of WordPress wanted a way for ordinary people with no coding or programming experience to be able to set up their own website and get it live on the internet without being trapped in a closed platform CMS.
WordPress has since evolved since its origins in 2003 to encompass all things website related including blogs, websites, ecommerce stores and other monetization solutions like self-publishing. You can even set up a forum with your WordPress blog or website.
You have just as many opportunities to do anything you like on the web with no experience and coding as a professional developer or programmer does.
Best of all, as I’ve mentioned before, WordPress is open source which means bloggers have the freedom to not only create their WordPress website for free even on their own local computer without hosting.
But they can also have their WordPress blog self hosted and choose their web hosting provider instead of, again, being stuck on a closed source platform like Wix
What type of blogs make the most money?
The types of blogs that make the most money are any blogs with a commercial intent or with content that you can attach related products or services to.
However, blogs that don’t make much money are usually more like personal journals and blogs with no particular niche or focus.
So if you want to make money with a WordPress blog, you should probably write about a hobby, a profession, a skill or basically any topic or niche that you can find related products and services that you can sell or advertise for.
How often should I post in my blog?
You should post to your blog as often as possible. There’s a common myth that bloggers and content creators should spread out their content creation and drip feed their blogs with content.
That’s utter nonsense. That may work for a platform like YouTube where high production value and video creation is desired by viewers of YouTube videos.
Most YouTube video viewers for example prefer more in-depth and content rich videos with higher production value.
However, blogs are the written word. Sure you want to put in a header image or some extra photos, if you’re trying to demonstrate something visually.
You may even want to embed a video. But Google Search loves content and its algorithms feed off of every new post or page that is published on the internet.
So publish as much and as often as you can.
What is the best day to post a blog?
Just like you should not drip feed your WordPress blog with posts and scatter your publishing schedule, there is no perfect time of the day to post a blog post either.
Blogs are not like YouTube videos or even Pinterest or Instagram.
That’s the beauty of the written word. It could be timeless. So post and post often regardless of the time of day.
How many posts should I launch my blog with?
You should post as soon as you’ve written your first post. Don’t wait until you have three, four, five, ten, etc. Post as soon as you have finished writing your first one.
It makes no sense to wait until you have a bunch of content in order to launch a blog. All it takes is one post. You just have to write it.
The earning potential of a WordPress blog, conclusions.
As you can see, the earning potential of a WordPress blog is literally limitless. You can even start monetizing a free WordPress blog on WordPress.com just to get your feet wet. Not only with the WordPress ecosystem, but with the idea of monetizing your content as well.
For more WordPress blog earning potential, you are definitely going to need to get a self-hosted WordPress blog up and running.
If you’re really ambitious in the whole monetization idea, you can even attach an ecommerce store to your blog.
Shopify is not the only game in town as far as drop-shipping is concerned either. You can easily set up a drop-shipping store on WordPress through WooCommerce.
There you have it. The sky’s the limit as far as where the earning potential of a WordPress blog is.
