Here’s how to make an anonymous website.

  1. Get a VPN (Anonymously, if you can).
  2. Get an anonymous email address.
  3. Register an anonymous domain name.
  4. Get anonymous hosting.
  5. Pay for your anonymous domain name and hosting anonymously.

In this post we are going to go over these five simple steps in more detail below so you too, can enjoy the freedom and anonymity of having an anonymous website.

Just to be clear, if the “powers that be” truly want to find the owner of a website on the worldwide web today, they have the means to do it.

Therefore, there is no such thing as a 100% truly anonymous website

However, for 99.9% of cases, the steps I lay out below should make you pretty darn anonymous and even absolutely anonymous to the general public, who otherwise wouldn’t have the knowledge or any other means to find you or the owner of an anonymous website.

With all that being said, here are the steps below that you should follow to create an anonymous website. Also note that the first two steps are optional.

How anonymous you want your anonymous website to be depends on the amount of layers you want to put between yourself and your website.

The first two steps just add a couple extra layers to a webmaster’s anonymity.

Get a VPN (Anonymously, if you can).

Before you create your anonymous email address, you may want to think about getting a VPN. If you can get an anonymous VPN account, even better.

But if not, any VPN will do. If you’d like to get an anonymous VPN account then go with ProtonVPN.

What a VPN essentially does is it cuts off all traces of your web browsing and website visit history as soon as you go from your IP address to the VPN

Any websites or activity you do from your VPN on, cannot be traced back to your original IP since it is done from the VPNs IP or IPs.

You may want to use this in setting up an anonymous email account, which you will need when you set up both your anonymous domain name registration and your anonymous website hosting.

You may also want to use your anonymous VPN when accessing your email address and your anonymous website even after you’ve set them up, as well as any Web Hosting enquiries to your Web Hosting Provider as well.

Get an anonymous email address.

After you get yourself an anonymous VPN or a VPN that’s not so “anonymous”, the next thing you need to do is get yourself an anonymous email address

You could do this in two ways. You can either set up a fake Google account and add Gmail to that fictitious account or you can really go anonymous and get yourself a Protonmail account.

You will need this account when you go about registering your anonymous domain name as well as your anonymous Web Hosting for your website.

Both of which are essential in creating an anonymous website.

Register an anonymous domain name.

Once you have your anonymous, or fake email, address you will need it to buy both your anonymous domain name registration as well as your Web Hosting for your anonymous website.

If they require any other information besides your email address, then of course you can fill in whatever name or fake address as you like, because the only thing that’s truly required is a legitimate email address and payment.

Now, the best way to register an anonymous domain name would be to get a TLD or top-level domain name anonymously through an Offshore Domain Name Registrar.

But wait, it doesn’t stop there. You cannot just take this anonymous domain name and create a hosting account with any old Web Hosting Provider.

The best way to get an anonymous domain name is through an Offshore company that specializes not only in anonymous domain name registrations, but in anonymous Web Hosting as well. One such company, based in Iceland, is called Orangewebsite

Use this company to register your anonymous domain name. You can pay for your anonymous domain name registration anonymously as well.

In fact, it’s a good idea that you do so and I will go through what you need to do below in order to pay for your anonymous domain name registration, anonymously.

Get anonymous hosting.

Once you have purchased your anonymous domain name, you will need to get yourself some anonymous Web Hosting for your anonymous website.

To get your anonymous Web Hosting for your anonymous website, you will need to use your anonymous or fake email address once again.

As with registering your anonymous domain name anonymously, any names or addresses that you may have to fill in, you can also use fake names and addresses to do so.

Again, the only thing that’s required is a legitimate email address. This is because your Web Host and/or your domain name registrar may need to send you information regarding your domain name and your Web Hosting account.

But, getting an anonymous web hosting account is also another easy part. Why?

Because you can get it at the same place where you bought your anonymous domain name and registered.

That is with the Offshore Web Hosting Provider based in Iceland, again, called Orangewebsite

In the next section, I will go through how to pay for both your anonymous domain name as well as your anonymous hosting, anonymously.

How to pay for your anonymous domain name and hosting anonymously.

To pay for your anonymous domain name as well as your anonymous Web Hosting, the best way to do this would be through a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin

If you’re not a casual buyer of Bitcoin or know nothing about how to buy it and from which reputable exchange to buy your Bitcoin from, that’s okay. Neither do I.

The good news is that even if you don’t believe in all the hype surrounding cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin, nor if you don’t care to invest in the ups and downs that is the roller coaster of Bitcoin prices, that’s not a problem either.

There’s a simple way to buy Bitcoin and that is through PayPal.

Although you do need a PayPal account attached to your own bank account in order to fund it and PayPal knows who you are, you can still buy Bitcoin with it.

Once you buy the Bitcoin with your PayPal account, you can then use that Bitcoin to purchase anything you like anonymously.

This includes your anonymous domain name registration as well as your anonymous Web Hosting through Orangewebsite, which takes cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin.

Please note, that you don’t necessarily need a PayPal account in order to buy Bitcoin.

Of course, if you know how to buy Bitcoin through or have a preferred Bitcoin exchange, you can buy it through them and use your Bitcoin to purchase your anonymous domain name registration as well as your anonymous website hosting.

However, if you’re not comfortable purchasing Bitcoin or buying anything with Bitcoin, Orangewebsite has other ways you can pay for your anonymous domain name registration as well as your anonymous Web Hosting.

For example, you can also get a virtual Visa or Mastercard, like some kind of gift card and buy your domain name registration and Web Hosting that way.

You can even send cash through the mail. There’s nothing more anonymous than Cold hard cash.

How to make an anonymous website. Conclusions.

There you have it. As you can see, setting up an anonymous website can be quite easy as long as you do it right.

For this using an Offshore Web Hosting Provider like Orangewebsite, that also can anonymously register domain names requiring little contact information, is key.

If you follow the steps I have laid out, you too can have an anonymous website.

If you host your anonymous website in a country like Iceland with Orangewebsite, you will also safeguard yourself against frivolous US DMCA takedown notices as well as other potential infringements on your freedom of speech and privacy rights that unfortunately, have become a much more intrusive part on our liberties in the Western world.

These infringements on a webmaster’s ability to express themselves and conduct business on the world wide web is not only a US problem, but it’s also a problem for many modern Western democracies.

But hosting your website as well as buying your domain name anonymously in a country like Iceland, gives you the best of all worlds. Iceland is not a signatory to an MLAT treaty with the United States, nor any country for that matter, it’s also not a member of any intelligence gathering and cooperation organizations like the 5 eyes”, “9 eyes” or “14 eyes

However, Iceland is a modern Western country where you do enjoy consumer protection rights, so you don’t have to worry about your Web Host or your Domain Name Registrar going out of business and leaving you hanging in the lurch.

Nor do you have to worry about them taking your entire website down because your competitors or opponents have launched a frivolous DMCA accusation.

Unless you are breaking Icelandic law or the terms of your Web Hosting agreement, you’re pretty safe.

However, getting an Offshore Web Hosting account and anonymous domain name registration is not a license to do anything that’s illegal in the eyes of most modern countries, including Iceland.

If that’s the case, there are other murkier methods to go about that, which I do not endorse nor care to promote.

But if protecting your freedom of speech and your right to express your opinions without being hindered by good meaning legislation that many have unfortunately weaponized in order to silence their opponents and competitors, then hosting your website as well as your domain name registration anonymously and Offshore in Iceland is the ideal solution.
