Is WordPress Cloud based?

WordPress can be deployed on any Cloud based server in minutes. Deploying WordPress on a Cloud based hosting plan offers much better speed and performance than Shared, Managed (in most cases) and sometimes VPS hosting plans.

You see, when you host your WordPress site with a cloud based service, your website is hosted on a cloud type of architecture with access to multiple servers in multiple locations instead of just one physical server in one location.

Most WordPress cloud based hosting works on a pay-per-use model instead of a fixed cost one.

When you deploy WordPress on a Cloud based plan you can scale up or down depending on the traffic and resources your website needs at any given moment.

Thus, you only pay for what is used. It’s a great way to scale during those peak traffic periods or when you are undecided on whether or not your WordPress website needs a VPS or Dedicated server without sacrificing performance.

Is WordPress hosted on WordPress.com Cloud based?

A WordPress website, hosted on WordPress.com, is not a Cloud based service.

However, there are many Cloud based services that you can have your WordPress website hosted on. All of these are mostly from self-hosted Web Hosting Providers.

Although WordPress CMS, or Hosting for that matter, isn’t necessarily Cloud-based, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have your WordPress website hosted on the Cloud, because you can.

Cloud-based WordPress Hosting is something you should seriously consider for a variety of reasons.

Cloud-based WordPress Hosting can offer you much better performance for your WordPress website than say, Shared Hosting or even VPS Hosting, depending on your Hosting provider. How?

With Shared Hosting for example, your WordPress website is hosted on a single server which is shared with other websites.

So you’re basically sharing all the resources of just one server with many other websites.

In fact, you will never know for certain how many websites are sharing your server. This can greatly affect performance and security.

Since many websites are sharing one server, your website will normally be slower than if it had its own server or even if there was a limit on how many websites were hosted on the same server like with VPS Hosting.

However, with Cloud based Hosting your WordPress website. Your website’s files are hosted on several servers in a network or in the Cloud sort of speak.

That’s because Hosting providers who offer Cloud-based web Hosting are part of large international networks with hundreds, if not thousands of servers scattered across the world.

How Cloud-based Hosting works is that your website’s files are copied from your web Hosting provider and are literally hosted on several servers throughout the world.

The advantages to this are quite a few.

First, your users will have faster access to your website since when they access it, they will be able to access the files from the closest server to their physical location.

Second, downtime is severely limited, if not eliminated, because if that single server is down for any reason your whole website is down.

Whereas with Cloud Hosting, if a single server is down, your website is still up and running, since it is literally hosted on hundreds, if not thousands of servers throughout the planet and a user, when accessing your WordPress website, will automatically be redirected to the next closest server.

In addition, since your WordPress website is hosted on several servers throughout the world, you don’t have to worry about making as many backups, since your website’s files are literally copied and stored on several servers.

However, it’s always a good idea to keep a backup of your WordPress websites files, just in case.

But it is not as necessary as it would be if you had a Shared Hosting plan since you’re sharing your files on just one single server.

All this affects speed and performance and even security to a certain extent as well.

Can I host WordPress on Google Cloud?

Yes, you can host we’re press on Google Cloud.

In fact, Google Cloud offers a variety of Cloud-based services and hosting plans for your WordPress website.

Is Google Cloud good for WordPress?

Google Cloud is one of the biggest and most reputable Web Hosting Providers in the world.

By hosting your WordPress website on Google Cloud you will have access to all of Google Cloud’s resources.

This can be a very powerful platform for your WordPress website.

For example, you know Google Cloud is not going to go out of business anytime soon and that a website’s down time is minimal, if any.

You also know that Google Cloud has some of the best security in the world, not to mention more servers scattered throughout the planet than most independent Web Hosting services do.

In fact, many independent Web Hosting Providers contract with Google Cloud to use their servers.

Therefore, you can safely bet that Google Cloud has some of the most up-to-date technology in the world.

What are WordPress Cloud based Hosting options?

Most Web Hosting Providers do offer WordPress Cloud based Hosting.

You should always check online reviews for Web Hosting Providers, especially in reference to their Cloud-based Hosting options.

However, try to take a balanced approach when evaluating reviews for WordPress Cloud-based Hosting as well.

In regards to reviews, I’m sure you have personally experienced excellent service from a company, then when you read reviews about that same company, the reviews will be contrary to what you have experienced.

This is very common and a major reason why you need to read a lot of reviews in order to get the best assessment on a WordPress Cloud-based Hosting provider.

You should also check to see what is specifically included in a WordPress Cloud-based Hosting plan before deciding.

For example, is premium support included? What is the company’s track record for downtime?

Although downtime with a Cloud-based Hosting plan is usually quite minimal since your WordPress website’s files are literally copied and scattered throughout the world through a network of servers, it doesn’t hurt to ask or inquire.

Does the WordPress Cloud based Host provide you with a custom designed dashboard, for example?

Although these are minor issues in choosing a WordPress Cloud-based provider, considering the extra expense of a Cloud-based service to that of a Shared Hosting Service plan, you really should find out all the details to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Can I get WordPress Cloud Hosting for free?

Unfortunately, since WordPress Cloud Hosting is a premium level Hosting plan, you more than likely cannot get it for free anywhere.

Is there a WordPress Cloud plugin?

There are in fact, several WordPress Cloud plugins.

However, you need to distinguish between what Cloud-based Hosting does for your WordPress website to what Cloud plugins do for your WordPress website.

You should by now know what Cloud-based Hosting is, as I have talked about it throughout this post. Though, WordPress Cloud plugins do offer other Cloud-related options unrelated to WordPress Hosting that you may be interested in checking out.

For example, there are plugins you can add to your WordPress website which can allow your users to have their own personal space for hosting things like images or documents on your site.

There are also WordPress Cloud plugins that allow you to manage all of your Cloud server accounts from a single control panel within your WordPress dashboard.

However, most WordPress Cloud plugins are used more or less for storage than for hosting.

Here are some great WordPress Cloud plugins you may want to check out and use on your WordPress website for examples:

Is specialized WordPress Hosting Cloud based?

Many WordPress Hosting providers actually offer Managed WordPress Hosting that is Cloud based.

In fact, if you are interested in a managed WordPress Hosting plan, one of the first questions you should ask Hosting Providers is if that Managed WordPress Hosting is Cloud-based.

WordPress Cloud based Hosting conclusions.

WordPress Cloud based Hosting is a great choice for hosting your WordPress website. Cloud based Hosting offers optimal performance, consistent uptime as well as a certain level of security that you just can’t get with most other types of WordPress Hosting.

As far as speed is concerned, by using Cloud-based Hosting, your WordPress website’s files are copied, scattered and hosted on a variety of servers throughout the world.

This automatically improves your WordPress website’s speed since it can offer your WordPress website files to any user from a server that is closest to them.

For example, if you have a user in California, your website can be accessible to them from a California-based server and not from a server in say, Malaysia.

Although Shared Hosting is much cheaper, it also includes risks and performance issues that Cloud based Hosting does not.

For example, with Shared Hosting you are sharing just one single server with other websites.

With Cloud Hosting although you do share servers with other websites, your website’s files are on many servers instead of just one single server.

There are many benefits to Cloud-based Hosting that make it a no-brainer, if you had to choose between Shared Hosting and Cloud-based Hosting.

Cloud-based Hosting offers VPS and possibly even Dedicated Server Hosting a run for their money.

In my opinion, Cloud based Hosting gives you good bang for the buck by offering the best possible performance for your WordPress website, especially when compared to other common types of Hosting like Shared or VPS Hosting.
